The Streaming Giant Casts Spot-On Actor for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Season 3

The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the real showdown isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a adored, popular member has just been cast.

The platform declared recently that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Mr. 2. Bon Clay can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve made contact with with their dominant hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that role re-envisioned as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action show, differing from the source material and animated series.

Escola will work alongside several other fresh additions set to bring the group to life, such as chief Sir Crocodile, portrayed by the seasoned performer, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.

Although the role is a major member of the organization, the character will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this marks a notable change in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest more adjustments to the story’s structure.

Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the character. Along with their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated characters.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
